Call for Papers: Special Issue on Impact of Socio-Economic Changes on Water Footprint of Arid Catchments under Changed Climate Scenarios (ISECWF)
Aim and Scope
The deficiency in comprehending water footprints in arid catchments is essential for formulating sustainable water management strategies. Comprehending these effects can result in more effective irrigation methods and crop selections, guaranteeing sustainable water use. Advanced technologies such as hydroponics and vertical farming can significantly decrease water consumption while sustaining food output. Investing in the study and development of effective irrigation techniques and crop types is crucial for enhancing resilience and securing food availability for future generations.
The Special Issue aims to underscore the need for a comprehensive platform where the policy interventions to tackle water scarcity in arid regions and learning from successful community-led initiatives to provide and implement sustainable solutions, empower women, and ensure equitable access to clean water for all.
