Research Associate (RA) position available at the Department of Hydrology, IIT Roorkee. Looking for a candidate with a research background in hydrological modelling, machine learning-based hydrological simulation, and climate change impact assessment.
University of Virginia looking for RA
“I am urgently looking for a research associate for a joint project with the University of Virginia to work on sediment dynamics and flood risk evaluation of the Kosi basin, north Bihar. The person should be familiar with remote sensing data processing and hydrological modelling in a GIS environment. The work will also involve field measurements of cross-sections.

“We are recruiting a PhD researcher as part of a recently funded Australian Research Council Linkage project at UNSW working with the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water and the NSW State Emergency Service on “Connecting changing sub-daily precipitation extremes to flash floods”. The PhD project will investigate how high spatial and temporal resolution information on extreme rainfalls from radar and regional downscaling models can be used to better understand historical and future flood risk.”

“At University of Diego Portales, we are planning to hire post-doctoral fellows through FONDECYT Postdoctoral program 2026 (Chilean national fund on postdoctoral program).” Topics include but not limited to:
1- Application of modern maintenance technologies and fault diagnosis, such as predictive maintenance, and maintenance management for sustainable performance of different energy systems.
2- Multi-objective optimization, thermo-economic, and exergy analysis of energy systems particularly solar and/or waste heat recovery technologies.
3- Thermal management of batteries, new design, their modeling and simulation, and laboratory validation
4- Spatiotemporal tracking of waste flows for building construction, also their application in building envelope.
