Current Opening : Lecturer in Water Treatment/Disinfection

Responsibilities

• Teaching and module coordination in the 1 and 2-year MSc programs in Water & Sustainable Development;

• Supervision of MSc and Ph.D. candidates in the areas of water treatment, disinfection, (microbial) water quality monitoring, and advanced oxidation;

• Acquisition and implementation of research and capacity development projects, in cooperation with governmental and non-governmental partners in the Global South.

Requirements

• Ph.D. degree with in-depth knowledge of disinfection and advanced oxidation processes;

• Proven track record in research (publications, h-index, citations);

• Practical experience in setting up (advanced) microbial and chemical methods in disinfection and water quality monitoring;

• Project experience in the Global South;

• Teaching experience at the post-graduate level;

• Experience mentoring MSc and Ph.D. thesis students;

• Experience in proposal writing and acquisition of research funds is preferred
